Objetivo This part of the ABNT 15221 establishes the mlnlmum conditions required for plant-applied three-Iayer polyethylene coating applied to the externai surface of steel pipes to be used in buried or submerged pipelines, under fresh or sea water, operating at temperatures between - 40 °C and 80 °C.NOTE: The three-Iayer polyethylene coating consists of a fusion bonded epoxy primer, an extruded ethylene copolymer adhesive, and an extruded medium or high density polyethylene outer layer.
